A is for

Alabama Slammer - A Whiskey (liqueur) based co*cktail containing Southern Comfort, Amaretto, Sloe Gin and Orange Juice.

Appletini - Simply an apple co*cktail, Vodka, Apple Schnapps (or apple juice) and Cointreau. T.v show favorite and Facebook's "official drink".

B is for

Baileys Coffee - If The Day After Tomorrow teaches us anything, it's that global warmings going to need to be a lot warmer, and we might as well all get hammered before the world eats us.

Baileys Grasshopper - Minty, creamy and easy - a twist on a classic Grasshopper.

Baileys Heaven - Always reminds me of milkshake, with chocolate topping, and coffee, cream, and vanilla liqueurs. Another cream co*cktail.

Black Russian - Classic co*cktail giving Smirnoff a coffee bang, can be made in several ways - some are listed here.

Bloody Mary - Like it or not, if you have a bangin hangover, you NEED this.

Blue Hawaii - Very sweet, with quite a tropical punch, this combines rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice and S&S Mix

Blue Lagoon - Cool refreshing mix of vodka, blue curacao and lemonade.

Boilerman - Try not to think of this shot in visual metaphorical terms. Me? I see the Big Brother characters from the Bioshock games when I try to put a face to the name, not the kind of image you want running amok in your head. Or perhaps it is...

Bubblegum - An odd co*cktail, combining Blackcurrant Vodka (check out Absolut Flavored Vodka), Cider (the only two ingredients that seem to make sense), Rum, Crème de Banana, and Orange Juice. Surprisingly lovely.

Buns to the Sun - A personal twist on a Tequila Sunrise, popular with the customers I serve it to, it includes peach schnapps amongst other different ingredients.

C is for

Cape Masquerade - Something like... A Cosmo with Rum and a Sex on the Beach with the orange coming from somewhere else. But... not as dodgy as that description makes it sound.

Chimayó - Tequila makes the right kind of impact in this co*cktail, a good thing because the flavor is versatile, with apple Cider, Crème de Cassis and lime juice all vying for attention.

Cosmopolitan - Pop culture favorite with Vodka, Cointreau, cranberry and lime juice. Sweet, with just a zest of orange to balance the cranberry.

D is for

Daiquiri - Extended family of Cuban co*cktails, popular today as the blended fruit co*cktails. Nicest in strawberry, banana and peach form (IMO)

Dark 'N' Stormy - A dark rum wonder, part of the easier co*cktails page, apparently the national drink of Bermuda!

F is for

Funky Monkey - Another confused set of flavors, but nice, using banana and melon liqueurs, vodka, peach schnapps and orange juice. Confusing, but delicious, As with many drinks, just don't think about it.

G is for

Ginger in the Rye - If the name hasn't given it away, then check it out already! Don't forget the all important garnish!

Gin Rickey - Old classic suffering recent revival. Simply gin, lime juice and sparking water

H is for

- Heard of Hendricks Gin? No? Dive in... Be sure to have cucumber at the ready.

Hurricane - Useful if you want to get rid of unwanted rums - hey, I never said any rum was unwanted.

Over 50 Simple co*cktails - Really Easy Drink Recipes (9)

I is for

Irish Car Bomb - What do you do with Baileys, Irish Whiskey (Jameson, Paddy, Powers, whatever), Guinness, a shot glass and a tall glass. RUN!! Or drink it like this.

Irish Coffee - Where a Baileys Coffee may gently warm you, the Irish coffee simply batters the cold out, shoves a big boot up it's man-arse so to speak. Use good whiskey, nice coffee, and if you've no place left to go (and it's still snowing) I'd use Baileys instead of cream.

J is for

June Bug Annihilator - One of my favorite tasting fruity concoctions. Its Pineapple Juice, Banana Liqueur, Melon Liqueur and Malibu work well together, and are very easy to drink.

L is for

Link Up - The only co*cktail asked for in space I understand. A nightmare order for any waiter, I'm sure. Celebrating peace betweenthe U.S and the U.S.S.R, and simple, with Southern Comfort, vodka and a bit of lime. Which teaches us the crucial lesson that: if we all had but a lime between each and every one of us, the world occuption would be co*cktail bartending. This could either equate to happiness or riots.

Long Island Iced Tea - The unholy alliance of liquor, it's only objective is to get you smashed. Incorporating 4 base spirits, a liqueur, citrus fruit juice and cola, I personally don't find it to be anything like an Iced Tea, how could it be? Because, no great story started with an iced tea not from Long Island.

Lynchburg Lemonade - Simple mix of Jack Daniels, Cointreau and lemonade, and a tasty, tasty combo it is.

M is for

Mai Tai - Almond nuttiness, pineapple juice and rum, what needeth more a man? Frequent cause of hangovers and lost memory.

Margarita - The classic salt rimmed Mexican. Tequila, Cointreau(features a lot here apparently) with fresh lemon (or lime) juice and ice. Potent, won't cure that carpet mouthedness, and will lay you flat onto said carpet, giggling like a maniac.

Martini - Don't even dream of mentioning James Bond. Really. Vodka or Gin, or both, and Vermouth (or, I begrudgingly add, Kina Lillet). Shake it or stir it, do I look like I give a damn?

Matador - A reasonable Tequila drink, for once. As in, it won't knock you out at 10 paces. Tequila, Pineapple, and Lime. Sweet and simple.

P is for

Pegu - The Pegu Club drink, a classic, so obviously it's got gin lurking about in there. Lurking like a thing that lurks.

Pina Colada - Creamy and Fruity at the same time, stomaching the thought of it is half the battle. Well, all the battle, they taste great.

Pink Elephant - A stripped down Singapore Sling, gin again, cherry features largely into the flavor.

Pink Panther - The most shocking co*cktail I've ever had. Shocking why though... Before you look, think about things you would NOT mix Tequila with. I'll clue you with milk (or cream).

R is for

Rainforest - Another vessel of fruitiness and barmy color schemes. A bit too easy to drink, with Malibu, blue curacao, and orange juice.

Romeo and Juliet - Often mistaken in appearance for a Sex on the Beach is this version. Southern Comfort and Strawberry Liqueur are two of the more prominent components.

Rusty Nail - Only whiskey co*cktails have names that might put you off trying them. this is incredibly sweet for a whiskey only co*cktail. No literally, theres a whiskey (scotch to be precise), and a whiskey based liqueur, with ice. That's it.

Over 50 Simple co*cktails - Really Easy Drink Recipes (15)

S is for

Sapphire So Good - Bombay Sapphire Gin makes this co*cktail special, the other ingredients are mixed commonly and without uproar, but this particular gin adds a certain something to the tone of the flavor.

Sex on the Beach - Ye olde favorite. If you don't know this, then you haven't seen a co*cktail since 1930-something, if you've seen any at all.

Did you know that things named "Ye old..." actually incorporate a no longer used letter from the old English alphabet call a thorn, that's the "Y" in "ye", which is pronounced like "th".

Spelled "ye olde", pronounced, "the old". True story, I think.

Singapore Sling - Rivals the Mai Tai and the June Bug to be my favorite tasting co*cktail.

Super Split - While the world boasts about their captain 'n' co*ke, have somethingbetter to brag about. Spiced rum aaaand...

Over 50 Simple co*cktails - Really Easy Drink Recipes (16)

T is for

Tequila Sunrise - Mexicos (joint) best known co*cktail. Easily identifiable to the taste and sight with it's sunrise effect..

Over 50 Simple co*cktails - Really Easy Drink Recipes (17)

W is for

West Indy Yellowbird - Spiced Rum, Galliano, creme de banana, orange and pineapple juice combine for a great party.

Whiskey Mac - Another Easier co*cktail, it uses (you guessed it!) whiskey, and Ginger Wine, to build a cold hating Winter buster!

Whiskey What?? - Whiskey, ginger ale, pineapple juice and lime juice. Sounds wrong. Isn't.

White Russian - Variation of the Black Russian including Half and Half.

Woo Woo - The Sex on the Beaches better cousin, take a sex on the beach, remove the orange juice and add the lime juice. A Woo Woo!!!

Over 50 Simple co*cktails - Really Easy Drink Recipes (18)

Z is for

Zombie - Perhaps the strongest co*cktail on the list, it's effects are totally in cohesion with it's name, something of a rarity in the world of alcohol.

5 stars for Zombie
